Initial Consultations Should Be Completely Free.

At Meuser Law Office, P.A. we do not charge a fee for initial consultations. During our no-obligation, legal consultation, one or two attorneys will meet with you in person at our office in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. First, we will explain your rights under the Minnesota workers’ compensation system, personal injury law, and/or PERA disability law. We will then extensively review any and all claims that you may have as a result of your injury. We also encourage potential clients to bring their spouse or a family member to the initial consultation so they may be involved as well. These meetings typically last an hour and, even if you do retain our firm for your work comp, personal injury, or PERA disability claim, we will not charge our clients for this time.Read More

What is a Stipulation Status Conference?

If you have sustained a Minnesota Workers’ Compensation injury and have a pending case, then you may have received notice of a Stipulation Status Conference. A Stipulation Status Conference is an informal conference scheduled by the Minnesota Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH) to determine or confirm the status of a pending workers’ compensation dispute. Once the OAH has been notified that a workers’ compensation case has settled, the case is scheduled for a Stipulation Status Conference several weeks later. This is a relatively new program instituted by the Honorable Raymond Krause, and it was created to ensure that a Stipulation for Settlement is filed with the Court in a timely manner. Prior to this program, cases would take months to work their way through the system and award final resolution.Read More

"On the record" means that the witnesses' answers, or "testimony", will be recorded for the purpose of litigation. Depositions are used to gather facts from the other side, determine if the person will make a credible witness, and to search for any inconsistencies in a case.Read More

It is one of the most common motions in a personal injury case, most often requested by defendants in an attempt to have the case dismissed. While many times it is difficult to have a motion for summary judgment granted, there are serious consequences in a case in which such a motion is granted.Read More

Having practiced law in Minnesota over the last 20 years I am dismayed by the nature and extent of legal advertisements which bombard our airwaves. Watching television, listening to the radio or searching on Google, we repeatedly are subjected to ads from lawyers preying on what I would refer to as the “low information consumers”. Read More
