Rachel Barrett joined Meuser Law Office, P.A. in 2019 and practices exclusively in workers’ compensation law, PERA/MSRS disability law, and personal injury law. She is a member in good standing with the Minnesota State Bar Association.
Rachel graduated from law school in 2015 with the highest honors. She was named to the Dean’s List and received the CALI award for the highest grade in Criminal Law. Rachel was a staff member for the William Mitchell Law Review, and she placed in the top 16 teams nationally in the NALSA Moot Court Competition.
Outside the classroom, she was awarded two consecutive Minnesota Justice Foundation Summer clerkships, in which she gained thorough writing, research, and client representation experience. She additionally worked as a judicial extern for Magistrate Jeffrey Keyes at the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota.
After graduation, Rachel clerked for the Minnesota Court of Appeals, for now-Justice Margaret Chutich and Judge Diane Bratvold. Before joining Meuser Law, she worked in public defense for three years, where she gained ample trial experience. She is a fierce and zealous advocate for her clients.
Before becoming a lawyer, Rachel studied Spanish and served as a Peace Corps volunteer with coffee farmers in Guatemala. Outside of the courtroom, Rachel enjoys seeing live music, sampling craft beer, and watching baseball.
