Meuser Law Office, P.A., was honored to be invited again this year to present at the annual Law Enforcement Labor Services (LELS) steward training that took place on Wednesday, October 8, 2018, in Vadnais Heights, Minnesota. Meuser Law Office, P.A. is proud to be a sponsor of this event.

Founded in 1977, Law Enforcement Labor Services (LELS) is a union which specializes in representing members of Minnesota’s law enforcement community. LELS provides professional legal representation and advocates for its members, negotiating safer working conditions and competitive compensation and benefits. LELS values the courage, compassion and professionalism of its members. LELS currently represents 4752 Licensed Peace Officers1339 Non-Licensed Corrections and 911 Dispatchers, and 367 union locals across the state of Minnesota.

Meuser Law Office, P.A., has had the opportunity to work with many unions over the years, and we can say that LELS does a top-notch job representing its members. We frequently coordinate with LELS in cases where there is disciplinary action, or cases where the parties agree that it’s in the best interest of both the employer and the injured officer that the officer terminate employment.

This year Ron MeuserJen Yackley, and Lindsey Rowland of Meuser Law Office, P.A., were honored to present information about workers’ compensation and PERA disability to approximately 150 LELS stewards. Meuser Law Office, P.A., also provides written materials to all stewards in attendance at the training event.

Meuser Law Office, P.A., represents more police officers for work-related injuries than any other law firm in the State of Minnesota. Our partnership over the last several years with LELS has helped ensure that our state’s police officers have easy access to excellent legal representation and advice for their work-related injuries.

We at Meuser Law Office, P.A., also take a great deal of pride in providing confidential consultations, guidance, and information – free of charge – to members of LELS. We encourage all LELS stewards to contact us if you would like materials regarding Minnesota workers’ compensation or PERA disability benefits, if you would like to schedule us to do a presentation or meet-and-greet at your department, or if you just have questions about a work-related injury or condition. This year, for example, Meuser Law Office, P.A., has done presentations in Worthington, Blue Earth County, Burnsville, and we will be headed to Duluth in late November.

Meuser Law Office, P.A. is one of the few workers’ compensation law firms in the state of Minnesota that also handles PERA and MSRS disability claims.
