Meuser, Yackley & Rowland, P.A. is proud to share that we are the Diamond Sponsor for the first annual MPPOA Law Enforcement Gala. We have a deep history of supporting the Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association and we understand the importance of staying involved, especially during times of intense debate and when terms such as “reform” and “defund” are being used, but not necessarily with common interpretation. These are extraordinary times, and now, more than ever, we are committed to supporting our peace and police officers as well as the causes that reflect the interests of the MPPOA members.
Across the nation, law enforcement is facing widespread challenges with recruitment, retention, training, injuries, and more. In these unprecedented times, policing is at the center of national attention and the focus of impassioned debate everywhere. Here at home, it’s no different. Departments in the metro and throughout the state are experiencing difficulties recruiting and retaining quality officers to keep our communities safe. What better way to support our local hometown heroes than attending and supporting this event? The inaugural fundraising Gala will be held in Golden Valley on November 9, 2021.
Founded in 1922, the Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association is the largest organization representing our state’s police officers, county deputy sheriffs, correctional officers, and other public safety professionals. MPPOA is the voice and representation of its members and works tirelessly to advocate for the men and women who serve at the state and federal legislatures, and to improve the working conditions and protect the retirement benefits of our officers.
In addition to being a fundraiser, the MPPOA Gala will be dedicated to the men and women in blue and will honor the achievements of the more than 10,000 active officers who serve as public safety officials in the state of Minnesota. Your support will fund the MPPOA’s initiatives in the coming months which are crucial to educating the public about the importance of our women and men who wear the badge. Through your efforts, we will ensure our communities are safe and justice is served for victims of crime.
The event will include a reception and dinner, as well as reflection from Michele Tafoya, Sunday Night Football sideline reporter and a four-time winner of the Sports Emmy for Outstanding Sports Personality. The special evening will feature the 2020 Officer of the Year, Arik Matson, and 2021 Officer of the Year, Ryan Priebe.
