We are proud to announce that Ron Meuser, Owner of Meuser Law Office, P.A. has graciously accepted an invitation for a position on the board of directors of Firefighters for Healing. Firefighters for Healing is a non-profit organization founded in 2010 by Jake LeFerriere, a Minneapolis firefighter, with a mission to support burn survivors and their families in ways insurance companies and caregivers are unable to do.
Jake was inspired to create Firefighters for Healing while receiving treatment in the hospital after suffering 3rd & 4th degree burns in a backdraft explosion while battling a house fire. Jake spent 8 weeks in the burn unit at Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) and, while being treated for his burn injuries, met young kids who were also undergoing the same painful treatment for their injuries. There were two young boys in particular that really made an impact with Jake when he met them. Jake refers to this life-changing event as “a blessing” and this is how Firefighters for Healing was born.

Ron’s team took care of the legal aspect of Jake’s injuries so that he could focus on his treatment and healing.
